Lil Boosie’s Lyrics Allowed as Evidence in His Murder Trial

Lil BoosieA judge has ruled that three of Lil Boosie’s lyrics will be used as evidence by the prosecution in the murder trial of rapper Lil Boosie.

Judge Mike Erwin granted the motion to use the lyrics, which are intended to show intent in the prosecution’s case against the rapper, NBC33 reports.

The ruling came during a four-hour pre-trial hearing held on Tuesday. Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, is accused of hiring a hit man, Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding, to kill Terry Boyd in 2009. Louding is also suspected in six other murders in the Baton Rouge area where the Boyd murder took place.

Baton Rouge Police Department detective Alvin Howard argued for the admittance of lyrics into the case due to lines like “187,” “murk” and “cake.”

Earlier this year, rumors circulated on Twitter that Lil Boosie had died behind bars, but those were later dispelled.

In addition to the murder trial, Lil Boosie also is serving an eight year sentence for drug charges.
